What to try when a photo upload stalls, fails, or attaches the wrong file.

Use this guide when a photo upload fails, stalls, or does not appear in your project.

Try these first

  • Confirm it is an image file (not a PDF or video).
  • Try a smaller file: compress or resize to around 5 MB or less.
  • Switch networks (Wi‑Fi vs mobile) and retry.
  • Refresh the page once to confirm the upload did not complete silently.
  • Try another browser (or another device).

Mobile-specific tips

  • If the camera picker is flaky, pick from your photo library instead.
  • Keep the browser in the foreground during upload; backgrounding can pause transfers.
  • If the picker is empty, check photo-library permissions for your browser in phone settings.
